CUBE Co. Ltd began it's research and development efforts to create humanoid toy robots in the Spring of 1999. After 2 years and 7 test models, they came up with CAM-08, a robot that could walk straight on a flat surface with just one motor.

In 2004, Cube Works introduced the all-new Cube Robot Project CAM-10, a humanoid MINI walking toy robot with a head that swivels from right to left and arms that swing from front to back. It stands 10 cm high and comes with a mini battery for operation.
